A Strategic Partnership Advancing Women’s Economic Empowerment in Zanzibar

Mwanamke Initiatives Foundation (MIF) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nailah’s Shea, LLC, in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
This partnership was formalised alongside Sabra Mohamed, CEO of MIF, and Alice Mushi, Programmes Director, whose leadership and vision are deeply aligned with advancing women’s economic empowerment on the island.

Together, we are launching a collaborative initiative to support the Furahia Wanawake Group through vocational training in natural body care production, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable income generation.

This work will centre on equipping women with practical skills, business knowledge, and mentorship rooted in Zanzibar’s natural resources and cultural heritage.

This is not simply a programme, it is a commitment to building alongside local women to create long-term economic opportunity, strengthen leadership, and uplift families and communities.
