Leadership in Action: MIF Board Advances Governance, Performance, and 2026 Readiness.
Mwanamke Initiatives Foundation (MIF) convened its Board meeting in Dar es Salaam at the Protea Courtyard Hotel under the leadership of Hon. Wanu Hafidh Ameir. The meeting focused on guiding organizational performance, strengthening internal systems, and aligning strategic priorities as we prepare for 2026.
During the session, the Board reviewed MIF’s financial performance, including income and expenditure reports, as well as an assessment of the second-quarter implementation (July–September 2025). Discussions addressed progress across ongoing programs, implementation risks, and strategic opportunities to strengthen financial management, operational efficiency, and results-based delivery to our stakeholders.
The Secretariat presented consolidated updates on the implementation of our core programs in health, education, economic empowerment, and clean energy, highlighting key results achieved, including in Zanzibar. The Board provided strategic direction on strengthening project oversight, deepening collaboration with partners, and reinforcing Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems to support accountability, transparency, and sustained impact.
Looking ahead, the Board agreed on priority actions to advance resource mobilization, strengthen strategic communications, and further reinforce governance and internal control frameworks. The meeting concluded with clear guidance on next steps, including the finalization of the 2026 Annual Work Plan, as we position MIF to deliver effectively on our strategic objectives in the year ahead.
