Our economic empowerment programs aim to alleviate poverty and elevate the socio-economic status of women and youth in Zanzibar. To advance women's socioeconomic empowerment, the Mwanamke Initiatives Foundation (MIF) employs diverse strategies and actions. MIF collaborates with government entities and other stakeholders to foster business and entrepreneurship knowledge and skills for women and youth. Tailoring initiatives to Zanzibar's cultural context and leveraging economic opportunities like the blue and green economy, MIF pools resources to create financial services and systems, opening opportunities for women and youth.
