Alice Mushi is a results-driven social development and climate action leader with over 18 years of experience advancing education, livelihoods, and community resilience across Tanzania and Zanzibar. She serves as Head of Programs at Mwanamke Initiative Foundation (MIF), leading initiatives in girls’ education, women and youth empowerment, renewable energy, clean cooking, tree planting, mental and reproductive health, and climate-smart livelihoods. Alice also serves as an Alternate Member of the Paris Agreement Implementation and Compliance Committee under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Recognized for strong leadership and effective problem-solving, Alice has successfully delivered multi-sector programs with organizations including Save the Children International, Milele Zanzibar Foundation, and the Clinton Foundation. Her work has expanded rural access to solar energy, strengthened child protection systems, and empowered women and youth through sustainable economic opportunities. Alice brings a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and is deeply committed to inclusive development, climate resilience, and lasting community impact.
